Sir John Everett Millais was born in Southampton, England. At four years old he started to draw.
He was one of the founders of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. After giving up the Pre-Raphaelite style he painted portraits of the Victorian rich and famous.
“Darling Blue” was painted in 1892.
He died in 1896. Millais was buried in St. Paul’s Cathedral.
The print is in excellent condition. Never been framed.
